Kendra asks, tapping her finger against her chin as she considers, before continuing, "You should also get a new wardrobe while we are here. I can help you with that if you need; the clothing I have is not as adequate as I had thought it would be for the rigors of the road."

Akiani, Kendra and Matt leave with Duristan, leaving behind Clarissa who is translating, and Aurus. The former group heads for the perhaps erroneously named New Chapel, a temple of Pharasma and center of religious worship in Thrushmoor. While half a century old, it is newer than the Old Chapel, which was abandoned 60 years back. Duristan is quiet and subdued.
"Matt," Kendra begins, "could you watch Duristan? I would like to go get something with Akiani; we'll be back before you're done."

After Akiani and Kendra leave, hand in hand, and the priest begins meditating to prepare the spell, Duristan says to Matt, "Th-thank you for giving me a chance. I was lost, confused and scared after being bitten. I was still scared and confused when with the Jezeldens, but felt less lost."
