Two and a half hours later, Loric returns, holding three pieces of paper in his hand. His look and posture have no signs of the prior absent-mindedness and loss of focus.
Inviting the group to a private cabinet in the manor, he collapses onto a sofa, leaning his elbows heavily to his knees as if he were dizzy.
"The visit to the Emperor was unbelievable. I think I am in a post-traumatic stage or some other psychological coping method right now."
Loric throws three carbon copies of documents on the table.
- A formal invitation for a person of importance of another nation to come to the Empire. The person named there is one Miyamora Concordiae of Callipelu.
- Tentative in-progress marriage treaty, deepening cooperation between the Empire and the nation of Callipelu if a high-level marriage is made between the nations.
- Causal betrothal, unsigned. Only semi-binding but can be advanced to a binding full betrothal.
Loric raises his head and is grinning wildly.
"Sir gave me these. I signed the originals."
"I owe my life to Iomedae and Sir Bonum for this. I had thought it were impossible, I guess this redeems the only act I think I've done in my life out of chaos..." Loric says, showing the already a little worn betrothal ring on his left hand.
"A few weeks of purgatory before heaven..." Loric says with a relieved sigh, expression keen with commitment and wings valiantly in pose.

Early in the ball, all the many dogs in the House of Lupi get loose, and cause general mayhem. Peace says, "Ok, you five are afraid of dogs, now scram! Get to the room we discussed. I'll cover for you."
After you scram, he teleports to you, says "Ok, here's your stuff. I'll be back in a few minutes, wait here. I'll teleport you near the room; any magical alarms on it will be ignored in this mayhem. I've got to keep covering for you."
A few minutes later he teleports you to near the room, then leaves. When you enter, you see five others... and an elemental forming...

Linebeck eyes them cautiously (perception 27), and then looks back to his comrades. He is ready to pull out his weapons at a moment's notice. Arcana 30 to identify the elemental.

Aura Guardian if Adrestia is allowed a stealth check BEFORE she enters the room then she rolled a 19 and enters the room unseen with her weapons drawn. Once inside she makes a Perception check (16), and a Sense Motive check (24) to determine why they are here and what they are doing. She remains ready to ruin the concentration of anyone attempting to aggressively cast a spell (other than those she knows), with a well placed arrow, or just to shoot of these people seem hostile.
Detailed Tactics Breakdown (mostly working on the assumption that you can ready an action while using a swift action)
-If the intruders attempt to talk, chat, negotiate, etc then she triggers Discern Lies (immediate action)
-If intruders instantly hostile she triggers bane against the most common / threatening enemy type (Swift Action) and attacks as per her judgement tactics below)
-If she suspects things will not deteriorate into combat (Within three rounds), but a standoff might occur, she casts Detect Thoughts, and concentrates, attempting to read the surface thoughts of the intruders (Standard Action)
-If she suspects combat will occur before three rounds have elapsed she triggers her judgment of Justice ability and prepares to eliminate the most aggressive of threatening intruder. (Swift Action) Arcane Spellcasters (if any) take the highest priority for target selection.
