Ironhelm, Capital of the Imperium of Man and Dwarf:
docs.google.com/document/d/1LnhgAaaI8J5uYGv_WsmlSpbiicj9AZc6cFqYxxQUjVc/edit?usp=sharing
Ironhelm would have been better named "Warm Rain." For no matter what time or season, Ironhelm's temperature is constantly at 70 degrees Fahrenheit and raining. Also regardless of the time, the city is brightly lit (alleyways only normally) by the multitude of magical lights. Plastered everywhere are signs informing the reader that unauthorized tampering with the Flamepoles that keep the city warm is punishable by death.
The Flamepoles appear to be all that keeps the city from eternal winter, as everywhere near the city is quite cold and always snowing, though the snow never piles up on the Lightroads, which are also kept perpetually warm.
The city has a few landmarks known the world over. Among them are the Ice Cube (the Imperial Palace, named by an Emperor known for a strange sense of humor), the Vault of Lore (a very ancient Library), the Black Gates (no attempt to damage the gates, even by Orcish berserkers with Adamantine weapons, has so much as scratched the paint job on them), the Royal Menagerie, and the Blood Roads. More of ground-level pipes, the Blood Roads transport ever-flowing, never-drying blood in seemingly endless circles, though some whisper they are all connected underground to the Palace and others whisper the roads have to be replenished every so often.
Noble Houses include:
Temporis (Royal Family, led by Bonum Temporis)
Known to Rebels:
Lupi (led by Lord Umbra, who has an estranged brother)
Known to Empire:
Lupi (led by Lord Umbra, who drove out his brother, Luctes for some reason)
Splendentium (an Iomedaean house led by Duke Lox Splendentium, first cousin of the Emperor)
Avengarde (a military house worshipping Apsu, and led by Lord Mordecai Avengarde)
Multiple lesser houses - more numerous than all but the most dedicated bother to count
Lox Splendentium - not known for being into politics, but some in higher circles whisper that's just a front.
Upon seeing this, roll Nobility for more houses. Also, when Empire gets here, I'll add their nobles to the list.
