THE DREAM:
After the wardstone is destroyed, the next time the PCs
rest, they have a singular, shared dream in which a scarred
but beautiful woman dressed in plate armor visits them
and thanks them for their kindness and service before
apologizing for the fact that she cannot help them in the
future. Yet she can grant them a token of her gratitude, and
kisses each dreaming PC on the brow.
The following boons are given:
-Each PC gains a permanent +2
bonus to a skill of her choice.
-Each PC gains 5 permanent hit points.
-Each PC gains a bonus feat of
his choice (the PC must qualify as normal for the feat’s
prerequisites).
THE ASCENSION
All characters involved are mythic now - including NPCs! However, only the PCs are bonded to what is left of the wardstone, allowing them to advance in mythic potential.
THE TRAITS:
Here are your powered-up traits. You're welcome.
Child of the Crusades (Marshal): The PC gains a +2
trait bonus on Will saves. Whenever he successfully
saves against a mind-affecting effect from a demon,
as an immediate action the PC can expend one use of
mythic power to cause the demon to become staggered
for a number of rounds equal to the PC’s mythic tier.
The demon can reduce this effect to 1 round by making
a successful Will save (DC = 10 + the PCs’ mythic tier +
the PC’s Charisma modifier).
Riftwarden Orphan (Archmage): The PC gains a +4
trait bonus on caster level checks to penetrate a demon’s
spell resistance. Once per day, he can recharge a charged
magic item by expending one use of mythic power. Doing
so adds a number of charges equal to 1d10 + his mythic
tier to the item, up to its normal maximum number
of charges.
Stolen Fury (Champion): The PC gains a +2 trait bonus
on Fortitude saves. By expending one use of mythic
power as a swift action, she can ignore a single demon’s
damage reduction for 1 minute, and increases the critical
multiplier of any weapon she wields against that demon
by 1.
Touched by Divinity (Hierophant): The PC can select a
second domain granted by his affiliated deity. He can use
the 1st-level spells of both domains as spell-like abilities
a number of times per day each equal to his mythic tier.
By expending one use of mythic power, he may use any
of these two domains’ spells as a spell-like ability, but
may only use spells of a level equal to or less than his
mythic tier.
Chance Encounter (Trickster): The PC gains a +2
trait bonus on Ref lex saves. By expending one use of
mythic power, the PC can take 20 on an Acrobatics, Bluff,
Disable Device, Sleight of Hand, or Stealth check without an
increase in the time required to make the check.
THE LOOT:
Jeslyn the Oracle:
Combat Gear scroll of dispel magic (3); Other Gear +1 scythe,
amulet of natural armor +1, cloak of resistance +2, keys to areas
P15 and P18, 350 gp in onyx gems for animate dead, 32 gp
Faxon the Witch:

Other Gear +1 morningstar, heavy crossbow with +1 bolts (12),
bracers of armor +1, cloak of resistance +2
THE...uh...oh, right! THE DOWNTIME:
You have 2 weeks until Galfrey comes. Make the most of it!
THE MEDALS:
You guys have earned some Righteous Medals in your exploits! Here's the deets:
RIGHTEOUS MEDAL:
These ornate military medals are awarded to crusaders and
adventurers who excel and deserve commendation in the war
against the Worldwound. A medal must be affixed to a worn
article of clothing to function, but doesn’t have to be worn visibly.
Any number of righteous medals can be worn, but the effects of
multiple medals of a single type don’t stack. A righteous medal
functions only if the wearer has legitimately achieved the feat
for which she received the medal. As a swift action, the wearer
can gain a +2 sacred bonus to the medal’s associated ability
score for 1 minute. In addition, each righteous medal grants a
constant sacred bonus on one type of roll, as detailed below.
AGILITY: Earned by Timeor
This triangular
iron medal shows a demonic face surrounded
by three swords. It is awarded to a hero who
delivers a death blow to a demon in combat
before that demon gets a chance to act in the
combat. This medal is associated with Dexterity and grants a +1
sacred bonus on Initiative checks.
CLARITY: Earned by everyone for recovering that intel from the Grey Garrison
This circular blue
medal depicts a pair of feminine gray eyes
surrounded by a circular silver lightning
bolt. It is awarded to a hero who recovers
vital information of great use against the
Worldwound and delivers this intelligence to the crusaders. This
medal is associated with Intelligence and grants a +2 sacred
bonus on saves against insanity or confusion effects.
VALOR: Earned by Irabeth, Grinchor, Ellen and Timeor
This medal looks
like a demonic skull, the top of which has
been pierced by four red-hilted swords. It is
awarded to a hero who delivers a death blow
to a demon whose CR is at least 1 higher
than the hero’s character level. This medal is associated with
Strength and grants a +2 sacred bonus to CMD.
COMMAND: Earned by Atticus
This circular
medal depicts a leering demon head before
two crossed swords. It is awarded to a
hero who redeems one of the enemy and
convinces the redeemed character to join
the crusade. This medal is associated with Charisma and
grants a +2 sacred bonus on saves against emotion-based
effects (including fear effects).
