Jenara spots signs that the cave is damaged, especially by bear claws, as if it had been in a great fight.

Those of you who haven't: DAILY PERCEPTION CHECKS. I shouldn't have to say it more than once each game-day.

Loric got (16)+1 for 17, he too doesn't know whether they'll have time to make it or not, because he can't quite tell the difference.
And yeah, the blizzard will be a bad one.

Linebeck sees the same thing, though he can also tell that either way, it would be close.

You realize that you will NOT make it in time, by enough time that the blizzard could cause a significant problem.

"Empire, we have a problem."
"It seems I was unable to execute the plan and lead us to the next checkpoint before the blizzard is upon us."
Loric's furrowed eyebrows can hardly be seen from under his mighty scarf.
"...A scroll of Mage's Magnificent Mansion would be invaluable right now... I'd very much like us not to resort to a solution that involves losing time by for example camping or building an igloo. I want to reach the Temple as soon as possible, if only to tempt fate!"
"It seems we don't have any means to set up a Life Bubble or something similar. Share your ideas, here's mine: We cannot reach the caves with even a forced march on foot. If we had mounts and pushed them to gallop, we would make faster progress than on foot. Using the power Hope gave us, I think I can cast Communal Mount even without having it memorized today. Only Warden and Adrasteia need mounts, the others can fly. I'm afraid we need to drive the horses hard, even to point of forcing gallop painfully. Should anyone of you carry a healing wand, the mounts getting injured should not be an issue. I am terribly sorry not to have such a wand! I can manage three castings of Communal Mount, providing two horses for 12 hours total. If you are unfamiliar with horseback riding, you can leave your armor for me, Raijin or Oros to carry."
Loric turns his crystal-embellished engagement ring towards you, ready to cast the spell.
"Do you have any questions or better ideas to share?"

"Are you sure there aren't any more caves out here? I told you guys that we should just stay in the cave today..."

Or you could note the next cave... There *are* caves between you and the temple.

Ok, Rebels leave the insanity gas-leaking cave behind. Rebels, Cave Two.
This cave has multiple boxes stacked in it, with various highly illegal substances scattered about it. There is no telling how deep it goes, but it seems to branch off early.

"Never mind, we are climbing a mountain; horses cannot gallop here..."
Loric sighs heavily, his breath crystallizing as frost on his scarf where his mouth apparently is.
"I have a second plan but you might not like it..."
"I will cast Ant Haul and carry Warden while Raijin carries Adrasteia in his arms. With Raijin being a dwarf and me having Ant Haul, we can fly to the Temple even faster than what mounts would have allowed for. I have a terrible feeling about going into the caves..."
"...Are you fine with this?"

... Empire arrives early.
The priest walks up to you and says, "Welcome. I'm Father Aeternum Florens. With the coming blizzard, why don't you sit by the fire and warm yourselves... And what brings you here?"

Loric grins.
"Heh..."
"Peace Through Vigilance knows that cultists will attack this place. We were sent here as soldiers to defend the temple."
"...A warm haven in the middle of a cold blizzard. Very significant..."
