Ok, you're traveling to the temple. Give me survival checks to predict the weather, and Fort Saves if you don't have cold weather gear. Note that you're divided by Rebel/Empire, so no between-group interactions. Some Perception and Geography checks are also good.

The near mountains seem like they might be prone to avalanches.

21 Perception; 18 Survival to help the others to survive; 20 Geography
Loric has gotten a blue scarf that's swaying furiously in the wind.
"These mountains are prone to avalanches......I wish I were on the other side of them..."
[15:52:48] <&Aura_Guardian> agape: you know that these mountains are prone to avalanches [15:52:57] <&Aura_Guardian> and especially so in snowstorms [15:53:10] <&Aura_Guardian> and that there are some caves that hapless adventurers can hide in if one happens

Survival 6, Perception 17, Geography 25
"Loric is right, we should be careful where we tread..."
Game Master edit: You know that these mountains are prone to avalanches and have caves that are sheltered from said avalanches. Nothing more.
"The caves in this area are protected from most avalanches, we should try to stay close to any of them as often as we can."

Linebeck notices that the mountains seem to be avalanche-prone, but not much else. Jacob is fine in the weather because it can only do nonlethal at this temperature.
Lynx figures that a bad storm is coming in, but doesn't know much more than snow in the evening.

Perception 20 or better reveals the avalanche-prone, because there are clear signs of past avalanches.

"Avalanches? Oh great." Raijin said. He readjusted his cold-weather cap and then said "Well, nothing left to do but go up...you'd think these people would choose a much easier place to reach."
Then Raijin started wondering about the Everbloom, and why they would build a temple in such a remote place. Particularly, he thought about her relation to the Empire, being a deity of rebellion and all.

The Everbloom has close ties to Iomedae, one of the gods that the Empire encourages. Also, the remote location is so the empire would generally tolerate that temple.

So, how does everyone progress?

Loric leads the Empire expedition from cave entrance to cave entrance to minimize distance to a cave should an avalanche happen.
"If an avalanche is to be upon us, grab the nearest non-flying ally and fly to the nearest cave entrance!"

Raijin, having no better ideas, follows Loric's instructions.

I said by the mountains, not in them.
But ok, everyone makes it through the first day. More Perception and Survival (weather) checks, as well as three fort saves for the weather - or you can rush/forced march without any campfires to warm you, and need to make 6 in sets of three. Either way is fine.
EDIT: Those with Cold Weather Gear and Jacob do not need to make any saving throws.
