The papers in question are from texts known as "Path of Defiance", "Path of Fate", and "Tome of Souls."

"Path of Defiance again... Oros or anyone, have you read any of those books?"

"Huh, this seems to be an unholy symbol of some kind. I can't make out what it is exactly though." Raijin says as he points to said symbol. It was then that Grenth pointed out the unusually high number of curses on Adrastia. "Huh? How exactly is that possible? We weren't in the crypts for a particularly long time and there wasn't anything in there besides your usual zombies and skeletons, neither of which usually have curses. Well, at least I haven't read of any such that would create curses." He started worrying about Adrastia's well being when Loric spoke about Fate. Raijin rolled his eyes and said "Come on Loric, everything bad that happens to us is not this 'Fate's' doing. Don't you think you've been just a little paranoid ever since that conversation with Peace Through Vigilance?"

"...I agree with you."
Loric's ramblings start gathering momentum into a proper speech!
"Fate cannot possibly to strong enough to overpower the providence of every god we worship together.
Besides, I believe that in the end Fate cannot influence lives that are Iomedae's. ...At least not directly through circumstance, thus having to use minions/worshippers as proxies instead.
By fighting against worshipers of Fate we negate his proxied influence on us. By being true in or faith we negate his direct influence on us.
So let us stand together and resist this common enemy. We have mighty allies on our side: Hope, who touched us. Grenth, whose mentoring is not limited to training us..." *nods towards Adrestia*
"...also Peace Through Vigilance, who has revealed much of our enemy to us.
Finally, we have the Empire at our side. Emperor Bonum is bound to be aware of this. I wouldn't put it past him to have arranged for us to be here together in preparation for him using us as swords against Fate.
By working together with these allies our work shall not be in vain nor negated by our foes, but will bring peace and prosperity to the whole nation!"

"No I haven't read these, they were thought to be lost to time for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Also, I think you are underestimating our adversary, if Fate truly is an embodiment of inevitable destruction, he seems to have far more power than any of our pantheons. I feel these tomes might reinforce my view." Oros sighs and begins mumbling to himself. "Whatever happened to joining the military for a few years to please father, then retiring to study history?..."

Adrastia holds up her hand, "Relax, Raijin, I don't believe these curses were a result of our combat against the undead, just something inflicted on me from an earlier time, I am sure everyone else is fine". She pauses, "That said, I have the utmost confidence in the abilities of Grenth, I am sure I will be fine after the next few days".
Adrestia works on projecting an air of confidence and optimism but in truth she is badly shaken due to recent events.

"That chain is part of a set," Linebeck points out, "Lore says that when combined it makes the undead seem mortal."

"... Oh. That chain. Didn't think it would look like this. Heh. Anyway, ... I think it's best if you hold onto it, given... what it is and who you are."

Warden Linebeck puts the chain away.

As soon as Warden touches the chain he understands it's (weakened) power: 1) increase in power if combined with the other half of the chain and the Soul Lantern 2) Emit a 30 foot radius aura that makes undead susceptible to mind-affecting effects, such as a Bard's or Skald's Song or Heroism. 3) Undead under the bearer's control emit an aura just like the one above, but limited to 15 feet. 4) Only one affected by Undeath in some way (undead, necromancer, possessed, Soul Warden, Frozeover Warden, cleric of a deity associated with (un)death) can use it.

Oros is engrossed in the tomes he has found, largely shutting out the others while he delicately, yet enthusiastically, looks through their pages.

"Anyway, the Emperor's had you reassigned to Ironhelm" [capital of the Empire]. "You leave in a few days, when The Skycrawler flies in."
(over a few days, Grenth removes many curses from Adrasteia, but at the end he says, "Some of these curses are tied to the blood of another... I cannot remove them, though I weakened them so some other trigger - probably the death of the one they're tied to - will remove them.")

"The capital... I must visit the cathedral to give my oaths in a written form."
"Hmm... I will maybe make an amendment to them."
((during this time the prior Loric/Ada log happens))

I bow, "Thank you Grenth", I say with gratitude
(Agape are you referring to the previous log we had, or a future one?)
