1. What is your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
My name is Sariel Seraphim, and I was named that by my parents, although I don't know where they are. I was orphaned as a child, by my family. I was given to an old priest by one of my parents, and while he could not tell if it was my mother or my father, or what they looked like, he could tell that I was of a celestial bloodline. I do not know if my other parent is divine, if my father left or if my mother died during my birth, but I will never stop looking. I was named Seriel Seraphim, and I did not know what it means, until the old preist told me. Apparently Seriel means "commander", and Seraphim refers to a special class of angels. Perhaps my parent or parents are members of this class, I do not know but I will find out. I will seek to uphold my birthright, and earn the right to enter the divine realms and uncover the truth about my parents. I was given this name for a reason, and I will both honor and earn this name, in everything that I do.
2. What do you look like? Please describe yourself.
As a child, I looked human, aside from my skin shining brightly than normal. Upon entering human adulthood however, I began to notice more changes, my skin has begun to shine much more brighter, it is beginning to take a metallic gleam. My eyes as well, are now silver, although recently fellow Paladins have told me that my eyes turn white in certain circumstances, usually when I channel my power to smite evil. A few years ago, I developed the ability to manifest a halo above my head, although I quickly learnt to switch this ability on and off. People tend to point and stare out on the street, and it would make you a target. As a full Paladin, I have nothing to fear from the average person, no-one dares to mock me now, but even so, I have retained the habit.
These changes used to scare me, and occasionally it continues to still do so, but I have accepted that I am being made into who I am meant to be, and thus resisting this is futile. No doubt further changes will appear further down the track, but I am confident in myself that I can handle any celestial changes that could occur. In general, I can pass as human, aside from my eye colour and bright skin. I have brown hair, "all business up front, but a party at the back" I guess you might say (controlled haircut up the front, but it gets untamed at the back for those that don't get the reference). I am quite tall and generally wander around in my amour, with my sword strapped to my back. Its usually silver, I like to keep it well polished and cared for, so it shines bright. If casual dress is needed, I will generally wear a tan tunic (tan is generally the colour I prefer for my casual clothes). In full amour, ill generally have black gloves, and a black cape. A Paladin friend suggested the colour combo (guy was really into hugging), and after trying it out, it stuck with me.
3. How have you grown up; what has happened to you during your life? How and why did you learn your class features, etc.?
The old priest took me in,and as such I felt that I had a strong connection to the deity of Ragathiel. I was told that a Seraph had six wings, and that Ragathiel also had Six wings (before one was cut off). I don't believe it was a coincidence, that I appeared to a priest of Ragathiel, with such a name as my own. I remember that as a boy, this priest, who had become a father figure to me, always encouraged me to follow the divine arts of magic. He pushed that ideal, that I could be a cleric of a Ragathiel, and as he had been good to me, I decided to follow this path. Then one day, in my reckless youth, I decided to leave the city, and take a walk. I would often do this, as I would get angry about having no parents, but on this day, I lost track of where I was walking, and quickly got lost. Retracing my steps, I turned around, and encountered a malevolent figure, a demon. I was utterly unprepared for such a fight, my channeling irritated it, but no more, and my spellcasting abilities had not progressed far enough for me to bother it. It stepped forward, and casually slammed a claw into my body, ripping into it and hurling me backward. Helpless, I drew my sword, and staggered to my feet, but I was bleeding heavily, and the thing knew it had the advantage. It began to circle, and my sword hand grew heavy. The demon stepped forward...and then I was blasted with heavenly light. Power rushed into my veins, and I felt charged with energy. I touched my wounds with my free hand, and they closed up instantly, I had healed myself. The creature appeared hesitant, but it swung a claw out one more time, ,however I ducked under the strike, slashing upwards and slicing into the demons body. dispatching it. After finding my way back, and quizzing the priest, I understood that I had had been blessed by some higher power, which allowed me to access Paladin powers and so smite the demon. The priest believed that it was Ragathiel who saved me, or at least a servant of his, which only strengthened my connection to him. The blessing was only temporary, but I wanted to recapture that feeling of power, and so, I joined the Paladin order to learn their skills. Upon hearing of the crusades I decided to continue my studies "on the job" was it were, thus, I became a Paladin.
4. Why are you fighting in the Crusades?
Because I believe I was born to do so. I always possessed the skills of a leader...up to a point, and after my close encounter I was determined to cleanse the land of evil beings, and defend those that are helpless. Besides, I can learn much from other, higher commanders while taking part in the crusades, as well as gaining experience in my studies as a Paladin, this feels like where I need to be.
5. What do you hate?
People that disrupt the law, and have vil in their hearts. Demons and devils especially, I dislike, as well as those of demonic heritage such as Tieflings. The leaders of the crusades now claim that some Tierfling's can be trusted, a claim I am sceptical towards, but am currently in no position to challenge this apparent fact. I also exceptionally dislike parents who abandon their children, but suspect this is due to my own life experiences.
6. What do you love?
Doing my job. It is cliche, but true in that I get joy out of being a paladin, and upholding the core values the order has. I take pleasure in my skill and that is what matters. I have had no personal relationships so duty comes first in my life.
7. What are you afraid of?
Failing. I feel like I am destined for something, both in name and via the circumstances of my birth. I want to be proud of my achievements, but I also want to track down my parents, and I want THEM to be proud of me as well. Worrying about pleasing people you have never known is exhausting, but its how I feel. I am also concerned that I will find out my parents either died, or abandoned me on purpose, it would hurt me seriously if I discovered I was an accident or other such thing. Hence me my dilemna of being determined to find my parents, but being terrified of what I might discover.
8. What religion do you follow? Why?
I discussed this earlier but Ragathiel. Mostly for the reasons already explained, I feel that he has had a strong influence in my life, and I would never turn away from following him.
9. What is your most treasured possession?
I have two treasured possessions. Firstly, my silver symbol of Ragathiel that the old priest gave me before I left. It reminds me to stay true to myself, and achieve my birthright. Secondly, I hold dear my greatsword. It was given to the old priest to be passed down to me when i could wield it, and it served me well in my first encounter with a demon. My friend the old priest said he sensed traces of celestial power within the sword, but whether it has abilities of its own, or if the traces of power are echoes of the power of the previous owner - my parents or otherwise - I do not know. Whether this sword has abilities of its own or not has yet to be seen.

1. What is your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
Riqueza Paz. My parents told me it means “Abundance” since they imagined a rich life for me and my sister. I hope they were right—my folks, cool as they were, were always a bit off in the head.
2. What do you look like? Please describe yourself.
I’m a ratfolk, a bit tall for my race. My fur’s in the pattern of a hooded rat’s—brown head and down the back, with the rest of my fur being white. I wear a duster and always have my gun close, even if I need to conceal it, although I will admit I don’t mind wearing more flowery and fancy stuff when I can get the chance—hey, nothing wrong with dressing wealthy, I don’t think, but the gun is always still there.
3. How have you grown up; what has happened to you during your life? How and why did you learn your class features, etc.?
I was born in a warren to a small family, which is kinda unusual for ratfolk but it didn’t bother me. My parents were part of our warren’s guard, and eccentric even by ratfolk standards—see, they managed to get their paws on some guns some years before I was born and they were pretty dedicated to the art of gunslinging. They liked any sort of trinket and weird object they could find, but guns especially. It rubbed off on me, and I learned all I know from them—my younger sister, Fortuna, was more timid and didn’t pick up as well as I did, but she was a good girl. Never really meant for fighting anyway. Didn’t stop my parents from giving each of us a gun when we were small. It’s amazing we never blew each other’s heads off on accident or anything.
Anyway, I had been training to be a part of our gulch’s watch when…it happened. It was during the summer when I was around 10, and we’d been having a lot of rain…A dam near our warren ruptured, I’m told, and the whole thing flooded. It was horrible, water rushing in everywhere, people panicking and screaming and clawing at each other to get out…I got separated from my family and I almost drowned and before I even knew what was going on…
I, I’m sorry, this isn’t like me. Just give me a minute, I need to recompose…Ok, I’m fine. Anyway, after that, I was alone, with no home to go to and only the gun my parents gave me. I wandered around a bit, with no idea what to do. Turns out, wandering around with no direction is rather dangerous, and things just got worse when I came across the remains of a battle against some demons.
There were dead crusaders everywhere, and I saw the opportunity to scavenge for some new clothing, trail rations, anything. Don't look at me like that; I was desperate! Wasn't like those guys had any use for them. I didn't find anyone else alive, except for a tiefling girl, who told me her name was Cynthia. Heh, when I first met her I pulled my gun on her, thinking she was an enemy, but it soon became apparent we were in the same situation, and we started scavenging together. Anyway, we were so caught up in searching for anything that could help us that we didn't notice that there were still demons stalking the place. A bunch of them jumped us. I tried to fight back, of course, but my gun was barely hurting them and Cynthia wasn't faring too well either. There were just too many. I was resigned to fighting those damn things until my last breath.
Then she appeared. A strange woman, wearing a holy symbol of Desna, seemed to show up out of nowhere. The results are a bit hazy, as I was already woozy and lightheaded from bloodloss, but from what I can remember she got us away from those demons. I don't know if she never gave her name or if I just couldn't remember it through the pain of my wounds, but I do remember her being really melancholy. I mean, you could imagine why one might be bummed in the middle of a war, but there was some strange sadness with her. The only thing I remember from before I passed out was her saying that I'd be taken somewhere safe. I never even would have guessed at the time my savior was a succubus!
When I came back to, my wounds were treated and me and Cynthia were in the company of some soldiers on the way back to Kenabres. They told me the woman delivered us to them with the orders to take us back to the city, but she left soon after and no one caught her name. They nursed us back to health and took usto the city, and after awhile I found out I was kinda lucky. As in, I'd always do good in games of chance, always landed just right, things like that.
I think they expected me and Cynthia to just stay put in an orphanage or something for the rest of our days, but screw that. Cynthia and I, we were fighters, you see. We decided to train together in Kenabres, honing our skills and whatnot. Cynthia eventually left to become a merc but I wasn't much for organized military, so I decided to continue my training on my own. So one day I left, wandered along honing my skill, and eventually put them to the test to become a bounty hunter. It was a decent living, but now I got other things to focus on.
4. Why are you fighting in the Crusades?
Good gods, what a question. It used to be just about the money, but then when I found out Fortuna was alive and fighting, I, well, I just had to keep it up. If she's got the will to fight, then I had no excuse. Besides, I want to make sure she's safe; I mean I know she's a competent fighter and can take care of herself, but she's the only family I got left.
And it wasn't just that. In my travels, I've come to realize more and more we've got people to protect, and how badly this whole demon invasion thing has fucked over the country. When we convinced Nurah to join us, I got to thinking, maybe we can actually fix things, save some people, you know? It's a sappy thought, but it grows on me more and more, especially after I ran into Rue again. I mean, shit, if a succubus can turn good and save two kids lives out of sheer altruism, then maybe there is hope yet!
But that doesn't mean I'm going to forgive all the demons, and I know a lot aren't like that, so we gotta stop them. And...I have to find Cynthia. I just have to, no matter what. She was taken by that bastard shadow demon to gods know where, and I'd do anything to get her back.
...Why does saying that make me feel so sad? Weird. Maybe I should lay off the booze.
5. What do you hate?
Eh, uptight types who are all rigid and no fun are annoying, but having worked with a lot they're growing on me. Not saying I wanna be like them, but I guess they're alright, most of the time.
And besides that, water. I REALLY hate water that's more than ankle deep. Can you blame me? Yeah yeah, I know, we're great heroes and shouldn't be afraid of such stuff, but personally, I don't want to be anywhere near large amounts of water. It's so cold and wet and unforgiving...
But what I hate most of all, above all other things, is that demon who abducted Cynthia. Oh, believe you me, I'm going to find him, then I'm going to kill him, and I'm going to enjoy every single moment of it.
6. What do you love?
I love Cynthia, like on more than a friend level, if that wasn't blatantly obvious. We've been close since we were children, and I was so thrilled when she came to fight with us, and then...Godsdammit, if only I'd entered that room before she did! I should have checked the door more thoroughly...
Ugh...Sorry about that. As for others, Fortuna's my only family left and I care for her deeply. I really hope she's alright in Kenabres. Other than that, I like booze, money, and good food, but it just ain't the same anymore.
7. What are you afraid of?
Water…look, haven’t we been over this?
8. What religion do you follow? Why?
I've been a kinda on-again-off-again worshiper of Desna, but after meeting Rue I think I might be more on-again.
9. What is your most treasured possession?
This pistol here. It was given to me by my parents and is the only memento I have to remember them by. I wouldn’t give it up for the world.

1. What is your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
I'm Timeor Fidiorum, a name I hope to live up to everyday. As a child my mother hoped for me to be a commander who shall strike fear into the hearts of demons, so she named me Timeor. As for my family name, our family has been part of the crusade for generations, and took up this name to symbolize our loyalty to the cause!
2. What do you look like? Please describe yourself.
My appearance is deceiving, as long as you are not my enemy! I dress in an old black uniform, tailored specifically for some of my more unique features, such as my tail. Why yes, I'm a Tiefling. Why my unnaturally pale skin may be a hint, the tail is a dead giveaway. There is also the scales that adorn parts of my body, but those are mostly hidden by my clothing, and the parts on the back of my neck and on my hands tend to be confused for armor. Other than those, I have no features hinting at my heritage, though I do admit to tailoring my normal features to my tiefling ones. I have normal short back hair, somewhat messy though, while my eyes are blue, I got both of these features from my father, and I'm proud to wear them on the field of battle. In addition I possess a nicely trimmed goatee, if I shall strike fear on the hearts of my enemies, I must look the part. If I'm to go into combat, I wear above my uniform, generally a black breastplate, stylized with red lines and a black horned helmet. Whatever mounts I ride out on, have a similarly colored armor.
3. How have you grown up; what has happened to you during your life? How and why did you learn your class features, etc.?
I had a better life than most Tieflings, that is for certain. Both of my parents knew there'd be a chance of their union producing one such as me, as my mother's family had quite a few tieflings born in past generations, and made this clear to my father before marrying into the family. They were proud to have me as their son and outside of knocking over some vases with my tail they never regretted my birth. On the other hand others were not quite as happy with me. The rest of the family had somewhat accepted me once I proved my loyalty to the crusade, but other crusaders always mistrust me till they get to know me better, I can't blame them, I choose not to look like a nice person, it's a price I had to accept to be what I believe is the most effective force against the wretched demons and their slaves!
Although my father had already retired before my birth, he took my training into his own hands. I was trained riding various mounts, controlling them on the field of battle, on general tactics, on long term strategies and most importantly he has taught my how words alone can be a powerful weapon! Not everything went easily, animals didn't seem to listen to me if I was trying to be nice to them, so I had to learn to command them with fear, never bonded with any either, I know too well that different battlefields will require different kind of mounts, having sentimental feelings linking me to single mount when it'd be a suboptimal choice would only hinder any group I may travel with.
4. Why are you fighting in the Crusades?
I was born to do so! From my father, I'm a born crusader, one to lead the united forces of the cause and reclaim the Worldwound. On my mother's side, I was born with the natural talent of inspiring fear, being resilient and having my way with words. My family not only gave me the means, but gave me a happy life while most of my kind would merely receive hate all their life! I will do my family honor in doing everything possible to end the demon threat.
5. What do you hate?
Tieflings and Aasimars who choose their paths just because of their race. I'm not only talking about good aasimars and evil tieflings, I also mean any aasimar who abuses their power of good or tiefling who fear their blood so much they despise it. I'm in control of my blood and I use it to forward my conquest against the hordes of demons! I also possess a heavy dislike against anyone who abandons their allies, whatever troop I end up with, my first priority will be always keeping us alive, this war is not to be won on the bodies of countless sacrifices!
6. What do you love?
My family, I will always aid any member of it, no matter how distant our relation is, and if they have made mistakes, I will try my hardest to redeem them! I especially love my parents and I hope to make them both proud...
7. What are you afraid of?
My allies dying due to my mistakes... Disappointing my family... I do not wish to think about this...
8. What religion do you follow? Why?
I do not follow any specific one, I'm sure there would be one fitting me out there sure, but prayer won't win my battles for me, I can't depend only godly forces to win my battles for me! I respect them as I do their followers who they give magic powers to, but I1d rather spend my time training.
9. What is your most treasured possession?
That's a long story actually... You see my uniform? This old battered uniform, is my greatest treasure, handed to me by my father when I finally joined my order... It was his you know, the only memory he has as his from his last adventure before retiring... His last adventure, and how he and y mother got together... He was leading a small force, when they got ambushed by a troop of demons outnumbering their own forces greatly. My father made the decision quick, ordering retreat. What his troops only noticed too late was that he had instead charged into the demons. By the time his troop was all aware of the fact it was too late to turn around. My father was subdued and captured, but his troop was saved... This would be the end of the story, if one of his troops had not been very pissed at him for pulling such a trick. She rallied to troops, followed the demons' tracks and then set up an ambush of their own, defying the odds and rescuing my father against all the odds, then slapping him right across the face. The torture he received ended my father's crusading carer, but he took up raising battle ready mounts instead, and at least had the company of his wife now... She died when I was 10... On the battlefield... In my father's old uniform, I shall continue their fight!

1. What is your name? Is there a meaning behind it? My name is Louise Vastel. My adopted parents have told me that I was given the name Louise by my birth parents. Vastel is the surname of my husband, which I have taken.
2. What do you look like? Please describe yourself. I am a young Cheliaxian woman. My hair long and red, though it was black before my exposure to Kenabres' ruined Wardstone. I used to keep it in a ponytail, but now let it run down my back, though I keep it straight. My eyes are green, and I am 5'10" with a slim build. I have inscribed magical tattoos on my body; they wrap around my arms, and around my body and down my legs as well. I have also added ones that cover my hands.
Shortly after taking Drezen, I was thrown into magma and killed while fighting a demon outside the city. Reincarnated shortly thereafter, I acquired enough demonic taint from the Worldwound to become a tiefling. I am now four inches taller than I was before dying, and have become stronger physically as well. I have a pair of stunted, brown leathery wings, which I usually keep folded up. I also now have a red, thin tail a few feet in length; it can be used to manipulate objects about as well as my hands could. My ears have become pointed, and I have a pair of short, vestigial horns.
Worse yet, my Kenabres guard uniform was destroyed in the magma. It was irreplaceable. I now wear a black and red robe, as well as tall, black leather boots. My tattoos are visible on my hand and arms, as well as on my legs.
3. How have you grown up; what has happened to you during your life? How and why did you learn your class features, etc.? I grew up the first child of two bookbinders in Kenabres; it wasn't until later I learned I was adopted. When I was four I asked my parents about my birthmark, they couldn't tell me, though I later learned they didn't want to.
Shortly after my sixth birthday, I was playing outdoors with other young children, as had become common for me. We were having a snowball fight in a back-alley park. One of the snowballs I threw somehow became as hard as ice as it left my hand, and it knocked an Ulfen girl who I didn't know unconscious. As we were dragging her to get help, I was told that I had done something strange right before throwing the snowball, though I didn't remember doing so.
Somebody knew where she lived, so we brought her to her house; her parents were not expecting their daughter to return home like this. They assured us that Ellen, that's her name, would be alright; they were apothecaries. When I didn't see Ellen the next day, I went to her house to see how she was doing, and hopefully to apologize. Her parents told me that she was fine; that they just wanted her to stay at home today to finish recovering. I went to her room to apologize, and right after the words left my mouth, Ellen excitedly told me that she was sure I was using magic. We were inseparable since that day, and over the next few weeks we were able to confirm that I was indeed able to use magic.
A few months after this, Ellen and I were both going to begin to receive some formal education, as both of our families were moderately well off. Ellen learned quickly, and I also learned at a good pace as well. After a few years of education, we began to help our parents from time to time; we continued our education on our own time, studying subjects we wanted to, as we had by this point learned the essentials that we needed from formal education. Ellen, always a quick study, was able to retain information from more subjects than me.
When we were eleven, Ellen was able to tell me what my birthmark meant; that I was the child of Riftwardens. Asking my parents about it, they confirmed that this was true, and that I was adopted. My parents had given me to a pair of good friends, my adopted parents, one month after I was born, and left to do something in the Worldwound; they never returned. This revelation didn't hurt me as my adopted parents thought it would. Doubtless it would have if they had told me when I asked about my birthmark when I was four, but it didn't now that I was older. In any case, this explained where my sorceress powers came from; my adopted parents were happy to encourage me to carefully develop them.
When we were twelve, Ellen had begun to try and learn magic, and carefully studied texts on magical theory. However, she was frustrated by her inability to do what came easily to me. She also had no reference for actual spells, as one of the things she couldn't peruse at the library was a wizard's spellbook or magical scrolls. However, I realized that occasionally, maybe once every few months, a wizard brought a spellbook into our store for repairs and rebinding. I had, by this time, learned how to read magical writing. Ellen was ecstatic when I offered to try and copy down some spells for her to look at. We pooled money we had been saving together, and bought a blank spellbook to copy spells into.
So when I wizard next brought in a spellbook for rebinding, I asked my adopted parents if I could try and do this one myself. As I had been rebinding books without trouble for months now, they agreed to let me do it. It took a bit longer than usual to rebind it, as I was also copying down some of the spells as I worked. But I did it just fine, and nobody was any the wiser. I brought the spellbook with the stolen spells to Ellen, and walked her through what was what in the writing. Between my coaching and her texts on magic, it took us two weeks. At the end, Ellen was finally able to understand, and cast, a spell to read magic writing.
It was in this way that, over the next few years, Ellen became a wizard. I continued to steal spells when able to, and Ellen quickly became more able to use magic. By the time we were fourteen, she was able to teach me more about using magic as well.
When we were fifteen, we got into a stupid fight about a mercenary boy we both liked. It was stupid; he never really cared for either of us, and was just playing us off each other. It lasted a few weeks; we both said mean things to each other. I ruined the lock on the chest she keeps her spellbook in while it was in it. Our parents learned about the real source of the help I was giving Ellen to learn magic. We were both disciplined severely. We realized how stupid we had been and made up.
The next year we were sixteen; we were adults. I had recently began a relationship with the son of a magic item shop, Elias. A year older than me, he worked under his father in the shop. I was able to, to her delight, secure an apprenticeship for Ellen there. In addition, I also began to work there; they were short-handed at the time. A year and a half later, we were married, and had a son, Jeffrey. A year and a half later, my father-in-law passed away with a smile on his face, leaving Elias owner of the shop.
4. Why are you fighting in the Crusades? My home was destroyed by the demonic hordes. Revenge for Kenabres has been my going motivation in the recent past, and still is, but it is not the only motivation I have now. Many others have been killed, abused or dislocated by the demon threat, and will continue to be until a successful crusade.
The crusades have also changed society in Mendev. There is tension between crusaders and natives, with poor treatment of natives not uncommon. I am beginning to think the intolerance towards tieflings I grew up with was much the result of Hulrun's rampant paranoia. There are several tieflings at the shelter I have started, and when I speak with them none of the perceptions about their race hold true. Perhaps the ones who are our enemies are so because they have been driven to be.
The crusades, while nessecary, have been a bad thing for Mendev's society. If they were to end, the crusaders would leave.
5. What do you hate? The threat of the Worldwound and the demons of the Abyss. I especially hate those that would turn crusaders against the crusade.
I dislike the treatment of natives by crusaders. Unlike an unfortunately large number of crusaders, I strive to help the citizenry, rather than harm them.
6. What do you love? I love my husband and my son. Because of this I have wrote to him that I will not return to him; he should move on and no longer hold out hope.
7. What are you afraid of? I am, at times afraid that the growing power of the Heroes of Drezen will be taken notice of by our enemies. They would not hesitate to destroy unless if they understood the threat we are growing into.
8. What religion do you follow? Why? I do not follow any deity. Before Kenabres was destroyed, I offered prayers to both Iomedae and Desna. The Inhertitor kept the demons contained, and Densa has also given aid to the Crusade. After Kenabres was destroyed, I choose to not place my own faith in a deity again.
Furthermore, after nurturing a spark I found in myself after the Wardstone exploded, others have begun to be able to receive spells from me. There is a limit to the power of spells I can grant others, though it is growing greater. However, I can feel that I can give it to countless persons at once.
I will continue to nurture it, and use it to help end the Crusade. My divine spark sustains itself now. I know not what the future holds for me after the Crusade, and this is somewhat frightening. But this will not stop me from developing what little divinity I have further.
9. What is your most treasured possession? This stolen divine spark. It has great potential to really make a difference in this fifth crusade. I cannot ignore it in light of this.

fwiw ginganinja, there is approximately 0 gender discrimination in Golarion (up to, and including, prostitutes being both male and female) That doesn't mean that there aren't sexist and misogynistic people or that those things don't exist. It's just not institutionalized. I figure it depends on where you are in Golarion.

1. What is your name? Is there a meaning behind it? Atticus. I have cast off my surname as I have cast off the oppression of my upbringing...
2. What do you look like? Please describe yourself. I am an Aasimar of glorious beauty with pure silver hair and striking golden eyes. In battle, I don my golden and crimson armor I picked up when I arrived at Drezen and the mask the Hell Knights gave to me as part of their order. Outside of battle, I am usually wearing a golden robe streaked with red runes that betray me as a follower of Asmodeus.
3. How have you grown up; what has happened to you during your life? How and why did you learn your class features, etc.? My life was spent in a monastery, but not one of light or goodness. No, my home was the Grand Dark Cathedral of Baalzebul. The parishioners there lived and died with devotion to the fallen angel and strove to replicate his perfection. This is the world that I was brought into as a babe.
The rest of the Clergy saw me as a messenger of our god, as how else would an angelic being have been birthed into such a dark place? I grew up groomed and admired as the most beautiful and powerful of Hell's Angel's worshipers and I developed a connection to His will. Whether Baalzebul's interest was piqued by their interest in me, or they were drawn to me for my connection to the Archdevil, I cannot say...
As my powers and mind developed, I began to see in the world the tiny cracks and imperfection of it all. It became distracting to find myself surrounded in a world of people so prone to destruction and sin. Even among the other members of the Clergy, I saw how desperate and degenerate mortals can be. I became disillusioned with all but the teachings of my benefactor.
After arriving at Kenabres to fight for Baalzebul, I slowly realized the weaknesses of my patron and sought to relieve myself of him. I fled the Worldwound and came upon a temple where Hell Knights had set up base. After saving one of their own, I decided to take Asmodeus' patronage and become a signifier of their order. After passing the test, I was informed by the leader of the Order of the Gate that I was born from a shard of Baalzebul's lost divinity and that is why I had such a connection to the Archdevil. A connection I would surely break if I could...
I traveled from the temple with a troop of Hell Knights and learned the rest of their ways, while heading to Drezen to rendezvous with the other members of the party.
4. Why are you fighting in the Crusades? I had begun fighting to please Baalzebul, but now I fight to bring glory to myself, my Order and the Leader of Hell, itself.
More importantly, I fight to end the terror that the demons have imposed upon Mendev, and more importantly, Golarion. Their vile ways shall end so that peace may return to the realm.
5. What do you hate? I hate disorder. To live outside of law and hierarchy is to expose oneself to the whims of the mad and impure. To create disorder and strife is a refusal of the glories of rule and society. A refusal of perfection. Such impudence cannot go unpunished.
I have also come to hate weak leaders, the arbiters of true law must be strong to enforce their reign and cannot buckle to their emotions.
6. What do you love? I love the power and blessings of perfection that have been bestowed on me. As such, I cannot use my gifts lightly; only to smite those who would dare to side with the forces of the demons.
7. What are you afraid of? I am afraid of losing my power again, and being unable to accomplish the task I have returned to finish. I may not be the most pious of men, but I must retain his favor long enough to seal the Worldwound and fulfill my goals...
8. What religion do you follow? Why? Formerly Baalzebul, now I use the power of a much stronger being, one who knows the value of a good bargain...
9. What is your most treasured possession? My mask that I was given upon becoming a Hell Knight. To shroud my face is to give the demons no being to attribute their downfall to. There is no mercy in its iron gaze.

Bard is Illegal so ffffffffffffffffff.
NEW CHARACTER
1. What is your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
My name is Kaeli Alleyen. No, there is little meaning behind it, although my mother always used to call me her 'little enchantress'.
2. What do you look like? Please describe yourself.
I look like your average elf. I am very slim, dark eyes, dark hair, average height and build. I wear dark legging, generally black although sometimes brown on occasion, and will wear a black long sleeved top, with a brown leather jacket for casual wear. If I am practising my sword play, ill wear dark pants, and a white sleeveless top, to free up my arm and to allow for greater flexibility. If I wish to wear something smarter, I can wear a black strapless dress although I don't 'go out' often. I have a tatoo on my right upper arm, but I am unwilling to tell you all its significance. It glows with power whenever I channel my magic. I may or may not have tattoos in more private areas, but you will have to look for them first!
3. How have you grown up; what has happened to you during your life? How and why did you learn your class features, etc.?
I was a member of a small clan of elves that lived on the outskirts of town. My tribe did nothing to bother anyone, however, when when I was but a girl, I was abducted by cultists. During the abduction, my parents were killed defending me, and the cultists took me away, to carry out a deominic ritual. What it was suposed to do, I still have no idea, all I remember is somehow harnessing the energy the ritual created, and using it to break my bonds and set myself free. That was the last time, for a very long time that I would ever use magic. It was almost like I felt short circeted, or perhapes I was worried about accidently channeling that much power again, or bypassing my limits. In truth, I didn't want to use magic after seeing the destruction I had wrought against my captors, I think my family dying as a result of my abduction also had an impact.
Despite having freed myself, I quickly realised that I was different. I was felt stronger, and the tribe looked upon me with suspicion. Things were not always positive. I had terrible nightmares of my parents dying over and over, and I could never quite touch my magic since that day. The elders didn't know what to make of it. They could detect magic in my blood, but due to the trauma of the abduction, or perhaps due to some unforeseen consequence of my perhapes overextending my powers, I was unable to use my magic.
Eventually, I realised the clan held no attraction for me with no parents, and, unable to bear the hushed whispers any longer, set off alone. I spent a year alone in the wilds, barely a teenager, and struggling to survive daily. One day, starving and nearly dead with exhaustion, I encountered an old crone, who spotted me and without a word carried me to her shack, and fed me. I spent a lot of time with the crone, eventually realising she was a witch. My common nightmares quickly came to her attention, and eventually I told her my story. This witch was interested greatly by my lack of magical powers, and took it upon herself to break my mental block preventing me from being able to touch magic as I should. I do not know why she was so eager to help, maybe she was trying to atone for something, maybe she was simply curious, I do not know, but through her training, I was able to eventually cast spells, and in my spare time I began to study her spare scrolls and magical texts, eager to catch up on what I had been missing.
4. Why are you fighting in the Crusades?
Eventually, I realised that these nightmares of mine had to stop, and the witch hit upon the idea that perhaps I felt guilty that I had survived while more parents had not. I had no idea whether this was true or not, but eventually decided to assist in the Crusades. Not only would I give cause for demons to fear my name, that I had survived a ritual that was likely supposed to kill me and that I would now be making use of my life, bringing my parents honor and respecting their name. Perhaps by slaughtering demons and defending the less fortunate I could finally gain peace.
5. What do you hate?
I Hate all things demonic in nature, as well as people that consort with them. I used to hate myself for surviving when my parents had not, but am getting better at not blaming myself as the days go on.
6. What do you love?
I take appreciation in my skills the most, although I also appreciate solitude - I have spent far too much time alone. I enjoy nature, rivers and trees, and have a strong appreciation for awesome landscapes. Its been a long time since I let myself be open to the possibility of actually loving something or someone, and thus find new things to love every day!
7. What are you afraid of?
Mostly, im afraid that my lifes purpose will fail to have meaning. I am worried that I fail to make use of this second chance life has given me, and am worried that I will fail in the Crusades. Occasionally, I will fear sleep due to the nightmares I will receive, although since joining the Crusades I have noticed a decrease in frequency of my nightmares.
8. What religion do you follow? Why?
Sarenrae, mostly because I closely identify with what she symbolises. She is a female goddess, was the goddess of healing, which I identify with due to the mental healing I needed in order to use magic again, she is also goddess of the Dawn / Sun, symbolising the dawn of a new day, thus moving on from sorrow and achieving something with your life, as well as bringing an end to the night that so often was a cause of fear for me. Due to the above, I cannot help but think she has been watching over me, and thus wield a Scimitar as her symbol, as my chosen blade of destruction thus honoring her on the battlefield and with my skill with the blade.
9. What is your most treasured possession?
My Scimitar. It sounds crazy, but I had little possessions, and I was also good with it as a girl, due to funneling my energies towards it when I couldn't touch magic. Its been with me for much of my life, so much so that it feels like an old friend in my hand. The fact that it honors my chosen deity is merely a bonus and rather poetic.

1. What is your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
My Name is Titus, no, there is no meaning behind it.
2. What do you look like? Please describe yourself.
I have long black hair that I don't tend to comb much, so it hangs quite low. I generally wear cotton pants, and occasionally a light shirt, although sometimes I go bare chested. I am not really a fan of jewelry, and I don't own much, so I don't dress fancy.
3. How have you grown up; what has happened to you during your life? How and why did you learn your class features, etc.?
Potentially one of the more eventful things in my life was a demon ritual that was carried out upon me. It wasn't particulary successful, and I was able to fight my way out, but even so, I feel healthier than I would expect to be. Word got out that I had a run in with a demon ritual, and people began to look at me funny, so I left. I never really knew my parents, so i just roamed the world alone.
This potentially wasn't super smart, but it worked out ok. I met up with an old cleric, who taught me the basics of his craft, but it was never something I really liked. I eventually ran into with a group of Paladins, who were most interested in the childhood ritual, and offered to teach me how to defend myself against demons. I don't know why they shared this knowledge with me, but it was most welcome. I studied their skills, but then realised that I much prefered using my fists instead of going into battle with a sword in my arm, and I found amour....restricting. That said, I potentially would have continued my studies had I not discovered the religion of Irori, who taught me the path towards self perfection. I turned my gaze inward, and focused on physical exercise and meditation, seeking to further my body. I decided that my goal was to act as a servant of Irori, as best as I could, and thus decided to aim to become one of his Champions. Mastering the path of a Paladin as well as the path of a monk is very tricky, but no0one ever said being Irori's champion would ever be easy!
4. Why are you fighting in the Crusades?
Mostly, I am here to test my skills against the servents of evil, as well as defending the innocent and the helpless. I hate the chaotic nature of the world, and I believe returning order to the area will achieve stability in the region, which will benefit us all.
5. What do you hate?
Unpredictability, demons, and I have a small dislike toward uncontrollable magic. That said, I don't hate mages, (I can use magic myself) I just think Magic could be better controlled and regulated. Magic can control kings, lay waste to cities and so on, and is far more damaging than the common swordsman. And so, I think there should be rules governing it. Despite this, I have learnt tolerance from Irori, and thus have recently begun to work closely with mages in the area, to gain better understanding and overcome any personal bias that I might have. The dislike toward magic had been a recent development, as I realised powerful it can be in the wrong hands. I will try and be an example to all, in making sure I use any magic that I have for good, and that I stand firm against temptation.
6. What do you love?
Mostly simple things, a good book, a sunset, seeing two people exceptionally happy together. I am not a "leader", just a teacher, seeking to impart knowledge if its useful.
7. What are you afraid of?
Not living up to Irori's expectations. Its a strong goal I have, and difficult, but its given structure to my life, and I don't like the uncertainty that failing in this goal might bring to my life.
8. What religion do you follow? Why?
Irori. I explained why.
9. What is your most treasured possession?
I don't have many possessions, as I travel light, and don't carry much with me. I suppose this old bronze gong I have, was a memento of the old cleric that taught me basic magic skills. Its one of the few possessions that I have, and I guess I see it as a good luck charm.

1. What is your name? Is there a meaning behind it? Ellen Nylund; Nylund being the surname of my parents, and Ellen being my given name.
2. What do you look like? Please describe yourself. I'm an Ulfen girl, just under 20 years, of about 5'8" in height. I'm not muscular at all, though I am curvacious. I have long, blonde hair that I keep in two braids behind my head. And it has grown long; three-quarters of the way down my back. I like it long.
I wear a pair of maroon boots; I keep them clean and spotless. I wear a tight maroon and yellow "dress" as well. It is sleeveless, strapless, and very short; it covers almost none of my legs. It is also lacking up above as well, showing cleavage. It has no trouble getting attention.
I also wear a large, dark green cloak as well, and it serves a practical purpose; I might get cold dressed like this!
3. How have you grown up; what has happened to you during your life? How and why did you learn your class features, etc.? ((Not reiterating things in Louise's survey; saying other things instead)) I've always had more of a head for facts than most others; it sometimes surprises me how little others know. Not that I always know everything. Far from it. After our schooling, Louise and I continued to study. She wasn't able to remember as easily the variety of things I can. I still continue to study when I've time between other things I want to do.
When I was about 15 my parents began to express concerns about the way I dressed. And how late I stayed out. And where I went. And it was really too late for them to try and warn me against this behavior. Because I had begun to dress rather skimpily, and stay out later at certain establishments. So when I moved out the next year, it was too late to teach me to not behave like this. That's alright with me though; my continued studies would have gotten dull without an interesting night every now and then.
Hmm...I never have been terribly responsible; Louise has always been the responsible one, and she has become more serious lately. I was always the one getting into trouble. It didn't really surprise me when she stated a family. She's often teased me for my behavior.
I mean, I could grow up; stop acting childish. I suppose I have a little recently; hard not to.
4. Why are you fighting in the Crusades? After Kenabres was destroyed, there wasn't really anything left there. I wasn't going to do accomplish anything by staying. Louise was ready to take the fight to the demons, and I was as well. So when the Queen brought an army and gave the others command, I went with.
Being in an army is much more serious than the city guard. There is far less tolerance for merriment when off duty; there really isn't any off duty. Or familiar places to go to to be with friends. Its different.
5. What do you hate? Well I of course don't like demons. That's a given. But I won't say that I hate tieflings. I don't dislike them that much. They just make me really uncomfortable...they're a reminder of the way things are. I know that there are some like General Timeor, but still...
I also don't like it when people express hate for the way I behave; what does it matter the way I choose to find enjoyment in these deadly, frightening times? I'm ready to fight with them; we're on the same side. Enjoying life doesn't change this.
People also sometimes misunderstand me as being lustful. I'm not. There is a difference between wanton lust, and not minding if you have a fun night every now and then.
6. What do you love? Using magic. Its something of a rush to cast a spell and watching the changes that happen. Its exciting. So I also love to learn new magic to change reality in other ways. Learning about the world and the things in it is also fun and satisfying, and it comes easily to me.
What's left of my family and friends are important to me also. I'm relieved that most of them survived the destruction of Kenabres. It'd have been bad if they were hurt or worse.
Catcalls too, now that I think of it. I can't help but get some of them every now and then. They were a little frightening at first, but I've gotten used to them, and like hearing them. I like the attention; it puts a little more sway into my step. And its short, harmless fun, as nothing ever really comes of it. Only after I've already had a few drinks might something longer come from it, and even then only infrequently.
On that note, I like drinking a bit. I like to have a few drinks every evening or every few evenings. Its nice to be able to relax after a long day.
7. What are you afraid of? That the fighting will drag on, and on and on. I've quickly learned how dull army life is. There is opportunity for me to use magic, sure. Plenty of opportunity for that. But not for the other things I like. I'm afraid that life will stay dull, with nobody taking enjoyment in it. I get the feeling that either I'm not cut out for being in an army, or that something will change.
8. What religion do you follow? Why? Cayden Cailean, though I spend little time on devotion. He expects little from his faithful other than that they enjoy themselves and let others do so as well. His teachings are very easy to follow, and line up perfectly with how I feel about life.
9. What is your most treasured possession? Not long ago, I would have said my spellbook. Without using it as a reference, I couldn't prepare spells; I couldn't use magic without it. After we destroyed the wardstone fragment though, I haven't felt the same. I don't need my spellbook as a reference anymore. I don't need any reference anymore. I remember it all perfectly; I can visualize it in my mind. I need only learn the workings of a spell, and I can then prepare it thereafter. Well, assuming its not to complex for me to cast. There's a big difference between understanding how something is done, and being able to do it.
10. Quick Summary Name: Ellen Nylund Race: Human (Ulfen) Alignment: Chaotic Good Class: Universalist Mythic Path: Archmage

Long Overdue bio for Cyndi!
1. What is your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
"Eh, what the hell?! I already told you my goddamn name! I'll say it slowly for ya: Cynthiaaaa Redgraaaave."
2. What do you look like? Please describe yourself.
"Are you blind in addition to being deaf? I have one eye and I can tell you what you look like! I am a pale-skinned tiefling whose horns are covered by her long, red hair and dressed in full armor. My tail is a bit curly and ends with a point, but ain't very good at carrying a weapon, so I don't pay it much mind. I also have an eyepatch. A very magnificent eyepatch, I must say."
3. How have you grown up; what has happened to you during your life? How and why did you learn your class features, etc.?
"I never had it easy growin' up. Dad got kicked outta the army for knockin' up a demon, so he managed to die a penniless drunk when I was still a little girl. I bummed around on the streets for a bit, begging to get food and whatever coin someone would give a little bastard demon child. Then... Well then I met Ricky and that strange woman.
It all started when the villagers of Kenabres got scared, and I mean real scared. You see, a recent demon attack killed an entire family on the outskirts of town and... Well let's just say it wasn't a good time to be in Kenabres if you had demon blood in you. I outran the mob, but ended up somewhere near the Worldwound, too near to have any hope of safety. I got myself right lost and hopeless and well... I hate admitting this, I started bawling like a newborn. I was pretty sure I was gonna die out there alone, being eaten by demons.
Then, I heard something... skittering and I looked up to see this strange furry head by me. I grew up on the streets and never left Kenabres, so I had never seen a Ratfolk, so I was terrified of this thing that was so close to me! I started screaming and flailing and anything just to scare it away. Then she started squeaking and I realized she was actually talking to me, with words and everything. Her name was Riqueza, Riqueza Paz, and she was the only reason we survived out there as long as we did. She got together some supplies she scavenged offa' some dead guys and we managed to evade the demons for some time. We eventually got surrounded and Ricky went down. I tried to hold them off with an old whip I found, but I couldn't manage to make a scratch on any of them. I didn't see where she came from, but suddenly some broad in white appeared and the demons ran off like deer in front of a hunter. The woman just took my hand, put Ricky on her back and walked with us. I don't even know how far we walked, but it felt like we walked for hours. We eventually met up with some soldiers heading back into Kenabres. They were hesitant to take us at first, but the woman just whispered something to the leader and he seemed to be okay with it.
When we got back to Kenabres, I was terrified of what would happen when the villagers saw me. But when they saw the leader of the soldiers, they just kinda... Stopped and looked at him. The village leader tried to get us to stay at an orphanage for a while, but Ricky was good with locks so we snuck out a lot. Eventually, the captain of the soldiers told the orphanage that he was going to take responsibility for us and that we were both getting a military education. We were much happier being able to train with the guards and Crusaders that came through Kenabres.
About 5 years ago, I decided I was ready to go on and do some mercenary work. The Crusaders' techniques for killing demons worked even better on humans, so I can say I was pretty proficient at it with some good reasonin'. I saved up enough money to set up my own band of mercs even! My darling Black Raptors might still be fledglings, but we ain't failed a mission yet!"
4. Why are you fighting in the Crusades?
"Well shoot, if you were the leader of a burgeonin' merc troop, wouldn't you accept a mission from Queen Galfrey herself? Can you imagine the publicity the Black Raptors will get from this? We'll be hiring by the hundreds soon!
Ok, that's not all of it. I do have this little blood feud thing with demons going on..."
5. What do you hate?
"Demons. Fucking demons. I mean, they took my eye. THEY TOOK MY EYE! ...Ok, I am calm and collected again.
It was about a year ago, right after I set up the Raptors. I managed to use some connections I made while freelancing to get us a gig killing some stupid demon cult stationed in Ustalav. We pinned them down right good in an adandoned, but all of a sudden 10, no 20 dretches come storming out of one of the wings. We managed to fight them pretty well, for just the five of us, and no one was badly hurt... Until one of the cultist bastards threw a knife at me. I knocked the dagger away, but a piece broke off and pretty much skewered my eye. You don't want to see what's underneath this patch... Or what I did to the bastard that threw it at me."
6. What do you love?
I love the Black Raptors, and money, and drinking, and whips, and sex... But most of all I love Ricky. She and I are very good friends... And that is all I will say about that."
7. What are you afraid of?
"I'm afraid Ricky's gonna go and get herself killed one of these days. I know we both love to fight, but for fuck's sake girl, learn to fire your guns when you are not in swinging distance from your target..."
8. What religion do you follow? Why?
"Calistria's got the goods for me. Who doesn't enjoy pleasure? Especially when mixed with a little pain, he he. Also, I consider myself pretty lucky... Certain incidents excluded. Did I mention I am an inquisitor for her? Well, it's a loooong story involving a drunken bet, my whip and 3 goats. It's less interesting than it sounds, really."
9. What is your most treasured possession?
*Cynthia pulls her whip from her holster.* "This baby's name is Alraune. I found her that day in Kenabres and I haven't put her down since. Sure a whip ain't the most practical weapon, but Alraune even has Cold Iron on her tip! Yessir, who ever set used this before loved her just as much as I do..."
