"...?"
Loric is hit by a sudden realization.
"Oh, of course! Sorry, I was thinking of someone else..."
"Let's go."

((The log happens; Loric and Ada rendezvous with the others and Loric explains what has happened.))
"...What do you think we should think of this? Is this for real? We should request an audience with the Emperor to inform him of this, I think. Eternal Guardians, eh..."

"You went to the library without me? And you got help from the librarian for free?!" Oros fumes and goes back to studying the manuscripts found in the tomb.

Ironhelm.
Raijin came into the city awed by both the splendor of the city, and the copious amount of rainfall accompanying it. The dwarf had been here before once, but he hadn't gotten to see much of the city due to circumstances. He shivered and said "Of all the places one could put a capital city, why did it have to be in the middle of a constant torrent of rain?" He was in a particularly foul mood today for several reasons, not least of which was the fact that he somehow managed to lose track of his entire squad. "Cripes I'm never going to find them all in the middle of this big city." he said with a huff. "That said, I do need to get to the barracks as soon as possible, otherwise the commanders are going to have my head! On the bright side, maybe they'll fire me from the army." he said, rather wishfully. As he walked across the streets, he contemplated how he got into this mess.
It started a few days ago, the day everyone was supposed to take the airship to the capital. During the morning drills, Raijin had hurt his leg by spraining it on a rock. He had cursed his luck, then told everyone to go ahead without him, and that he'd catch up. He took a short rest, and then tried to walk a bit. Once he felt ready, he headed for it using an old walking path to the nearest city. However, when he got to the airport (?), it turned out that the army had gone to another airport, and had left already! Even worse, all of the other flights weren't going to the capitol within the required time. Luckily upon seeing his turmoil, a certain man offered Raijin a ticket aboard his personal aircraft for a surprisingly small sum. Relieved, he had taken it, expecting it to get him to the capitol just on time.
And then he was attacked by some kinda sky pirates...or something, in a black airship. He managed to fend them off rather easily, but then the crew tried to rob him! After some...tense negotiating (read: scuffle) he convinced them to back down. From what he gathered and theorized, the man that had sold him the ticket was running some kind of scam operation where he'd offer to fly somebody somewhere, then have his crew rob him, disguised as Sky Pirates so that nobody would catch on. Although...now that Raijin thought about it more, the Sky Pirates might've been independent since the crew seemed as shocked as he was that they were being attacked. Regardless, when he touched down in another city (turns out they didn't have enough fuel to make it to the capital...great) he told some of the guards about the issue and the guilty party was arrested.
After telling the guards his story, Raijin was directed to some kinda army camp nearby, where after being chewed out by the sergeant, he was given a ride to the capitol. Fortunately this leg of the trip went relatively smoothly. It was then that Raijin arrived at the barracks and, seeing his companions, said "Ah, there you guys are! Sorry I'm late, I just got caught up with a few things. What's our next assignment?"

"I'm sorry, Oros. I've been a little... distracted of late and the visit just kinda happened without me realizing it. I don't know how I could make up for it but I'll certainly try not to neglect my friends again. ...Hi, Raijin, I was just about to go looking for you!"

"Yeah, I'm here all right, after a few...mishaps." Raijin remarked. "I guess that means we're on leave, considering you two are probably discussing a party, given the general temperament of military grunts."

Loric explains to Raijin everything that happened in the Library.
"...so as you can see, Hope indeed had a little 'party' with us and we're still processing what that means..."

"It seems pretty simple, we our Hope's current generation of emissaries and, one would assume, Fate has his own. Maybe we'll have some kind of epic struggle, maybe we can wipe them out quickly with advanced technology and planning."

"That sounds alright for dealing with servants of Fate. I think however, that this time Hope expects us to deal with Fate himself, defeating or just maybe redeeming him..."
"...I hope Hope's task doesn't bind every second of our lives..."
